Air Jordan III and Trainer I share the same time and something more. Both were part of the Air Pack, along with Nike Air Max, Air Safari, Sock Racer or Air Revolution.
The Air Jordan III were the first Michael Jordan sneakers with Air Max cushioning and the new Jordan logo. The Air Trainer was the first shoe specifically designed to perform different sports. Both shoes were created by Tinker Hatfield. Jordan himself sometimes used the Trainer I, further reinforcing the relationship between the two models.
The new Jordan III takes the original colors of the Trainer I, gray and chlorophyll, to stage the union of the two models.
